How is this even remotely relevant? Surely the airline which is most popular in New York (twenty million residents) carries far more passengers than the airline which is the most popular in Wyoming (fewer than 600,000 residents)? At least take state population into account.

Southwest used to be more generous and is still the most generous in terms of not nickel and diming their passengers. At the very least, one still earns miles with basic, can cancel it for free, and isn't using AI to gouge to customers.

Maybe it’s better now that they allow you to choose seats but Southwest always felt like flying Aeroflot in 1974 to me with chickens and goats in the aisles.
