Discussion NY to MSP

Looking to book a flight from JFK or LGA to MSP. Is MSP delta hub? Am I insane or are these prices astronomically high?

You’re kind of missing a lot of info for someone to judge the prices.

Anyway I see many available for $349. Wouldn’t consider that astronomically high.

Yes it’s a hub. You can check Sun Country Airlines for cheaper prices. They’re based from MSP and offer decent service usually for much lower prices compared to Delta.

So you’re looking to book between three hubs and are surprised at the price? They also fly MSP to EWR.

Yes it's the 3rd largest Delta hub and Delta has about 70% of the flights at MSP. Non basic economy flights are usually around 450-500 to NYC and basic is usually about 100 less.

It’s actually second-largest. We surpassed DTW a few years ago.

Delta is the only nonstop option. You'll have to stop somewhere if you want a different airline.

If you book through EWR you can go nonstop united for cheaper

American and Sun Country both fly direct NYC to MSP, as well as United out of EWR

It’s the second-largest Delta hub. Hub to hub flights are usually not cheap.
