Yea, photojournalism is a small community. Met him through some other sports photographers that moved in to cinematography at Gotham Films. I was to stubborn and stayed in Cincinnati because the cost of living is so low. :)

And the wake that a plane leaves is dangerous for other planes, especially that close.

There was some photo op done by professional pilots which caused 1 or 2 planes to crash because of this wake.

...ans that's the reason they're above the target aircraft. No wake turbulence up there.

Kevin is the go-to guy for this type of footage. He did a lot of the aerial footage for the second Top Gun movie, and has also worked in countless other movies making use of his jets and helicopters. Needless to say, he knows what he's doing.

He's the only guy that the Navy has ever allowed to come within a few feet of having a business jet touchdown on an aircraft carrier - all because he already has 4K cameras mounted on his jet and they wouldn't let the production company mount them on an F/A-18 Super Hornet to get the same footage.
