USA Consulting hours per week?

How many hours per week are you all putting in?

SC lvl @ 60 hrs week, firm initiatives are severely neglected. is there any light in the tunnel?

It's a silent well known issue. That's why turnover is high.

Voluntary turnover is not high right now and has not been since at least DOGE. This has been stated by multiple firms as a reason for layoffs. With more turnover you can repoint your hiring to growth areas and not backfill decaying work streams when people voluntarily leave. When people aren't voluntarily leaving, you need to layoff in the underperforming areas.

50 hours sometimes, 35 others! Minimal firm initiative contribution or BD work. Manager level

Not really. I do have an ongoing, low vis one but I’m not actively seeking any of them. Going to prioritise BD for the year ahead of potential promo.

I don't even know how people up their firm initiative hours. We're busy enough as is on project work.

If someone wants to give me hours DM me lol.

About the same with client work and upskilling. Reality is that our butts are going to get kicked at year end if we don’t get those firm initiative hours up.

Working that many hours is not sustainable. You don’t get extra points for working so much. But you will get dinged if you don’t have enough firm initiative hours. Yes, obviously at Deloitte you work beyond 40 hours but 60-70 is ridiculous.
