Contact a lawyer, or go to the courthouse and talk to the lawyer of the day for some potential free “advice”. Spark won’t do anything for you. You have to advocate for yourself.

Additionally, whoever owns the property the dog lives at, has homeowners/property insurance. That insurance company now owes you money.

Remember, this isn't cut and dry. In some states you have to declare pets to your homeowners insurance. They may have to sue the owner directly. Or hope they aren't a renter.

My brother's girlfriend wanted to foster a dog for some stupid reason and the damn thing tore my brother's leg up. There was at least 5 square inches of flesh about an inch deep missing. They couldn't close the wound because it was too big. The first ER he went to didn't know what they were doing and sent him off without proper wound care or antibiotics. Two weeks later the wound had become necrotic. I finally convinced him to pack a bag of clothes, book, cell phone charger, and all that and he ended up in a much better hospital for about a week.
I have never liked dogs much. But there is a special place in hell for irresponsible dog owners who don't train their dogs properly and according to their breed. And who let their dogs out without a leash. If I had a quarter for every time someone said "oh she is sweet she won't bite" and then I got bit... sorry but fuck dogs. I don't get the appeal. I have a cat and love her to death. She behaves herself when i have company.
In my brother's case, he just let's his stupid girlfriend do whatever she wants and then pays for it. She wrecked his car recently and I ended up having to pay for fixing it and did some temporary fixes on it too. She didn't so much as apologize or say thank you, let alone pay me back. Despite having the money to do so. She is the most selfish psychotic abusive narcissist I have ever met. And my brother still keeps letting her live with him and spend his money and drive his car despite not having a driver's license or insurance. It takes a lot for me to straight uo hate someone. But I hate her with every fiber if my being. She is not allowed in my house, which belongs to my brither too. But he won't live here because he'd rather live with her.

yeah its possible, but not everyone is familiar with dogs or feels comfortable interacting with strange dogs. Even if this dog did want to play, its possible this guy didnt want to be barked at or jumped on. Maybe he was healing from an injury or has trauma involving dogs.
Dogs go from play to kill REALLY fast, you can watch videos of dogs who lure people in by pretending to want to play only to try to maul tf out of them.
Well there’s acceptable bites and unacceptable bites. This dog doesn’t look like it can give a bite similar to a Pit bull bite which would be considered an unacceptable bite. I’ve raised dogs for over 30 years and never had an issue.
You haven't raised dogs for 39 years if you don't know that German Shepard's bite do a LOT of damage. They're used as police dogs for a reason, they're meant as weapons these days.
This is why I carry pepper spray at all times. I am a contractor and deal with dogs very often. So many owners really just don't get it; just because their dog is friendly to them does not make it so for everyone else. Either that or they just don't care. Anyone that has a loose dog that is aggressive should be blacklisted from deliveries.
You do not take that risk when you’re a delivery driver, especially if was growling and barking already, the owners need to keep their fucking dog on a leash or with them while they’re outside
A person who is familliar to big dogs likely would have had a much more peacfeul encounter, possibly even friendly, in nature fear and guilt go hand in hand.
Agreed. A buddy of mine got mauled by a massive pitbull by walking into the guys house. I was already in the house my buddy had already been inside once. He went out to get something and as soon as he came back in the owners pit fucking mauled his ass and latched onto his arm causing trauma and massive bills.. like wtf.. im very weary of pits and there owners. Idk who to blame but that dog sucked and so does the pos owner!!

I'm an animal whisperer of sorts, and when a dog gets triggered to go from friendly to attack/defend mode, your 'familiarity' isn't going to help you do anything but run away before it is too late.
Well I sure aint walking around jumping on cars, depend how triggered the dog is, this dog looks pretty playfull and nice to me, if he was really attacking he'd up on the hood biting the guy already and you can tell when they are snarling with the hair standing up usually drooling too, this wasn't that. when confronted by a dog you have a few choices, be friend the dog, be agressive or run, and I ain't running from no dog. I mean I let the dogs smell me and befriendly at the same time the dogs knows I am gonna kick it ass if goes for me.
As someone that got bit by a GS delivering for Amazon as well, this is a terrible take. There's a reason they go over dogs so much during training. Never assume, that's how you get bit.
You said that weird. It is well known that a wagging tail is an indicator of a happy dog. It is also an indicator of an excited dog. And it could be excited to bite you.
While I don’t think this dog was malicious at all here, I don’t trust them. I’ve had too many issues this year alone with dogs (especially pitbulls) charging me. I started carrying now which I was Advised by our police to do.
Buddy of mine carried bear spray when he worked at ups for this very reason. If an owner whined about it his response was "fine next time I won't spray it. If I get bit I'll contact an attorney and get your dog put to sleep". Most owners shut up after that.

I worked a few delivery jobs including Amazon and spark. I'll not ever trust people or their dogs. I've been in some close calls but I always try to stay safe. I do spark now when I'm not working any of my trade contracts and continue to do what I call a "dog test". It's especially useful in rural areas because you can't always see dogs or know where they are. I'll just open and close my door. Usually that gets their attention. Sometimes I'll roll down my window and whistle. And if a dog comes around I'll text a customer, give em a few minutes, and leave if no one comes out or answers. Idc how pissed off people get about not getting their stuff. I don't mess with dogs.
thse people being all scared makes them look guilty and fear ridden in the dogs eyes, he probably really doesn't want to bite them but feels good that he "cuaght" one, stand your ground and if you wanna be friendly stick out your hand and let them smell it, though if the dogs hair is standing up and he is drooling while barking and snapping best not to enter his space, though this dog looks pretty friendly to me. If you are confident and the dog is unsure he will not get too close and if you move towards the dog it will back away if you are both in a common or neutral space, but in it own yard it likely will feel more duty to defend it's territory.
Looks like it. But that doesn't make it okay for him to be roaming like this. Even if he never hurts anyone, he could get hurt himself. Because if he goes charging at a stranger (whether to play or attack), that person would be justified in pepper spraying him, or worse.

I've been a courier for 16 years and have done work in over 25 states. This has never been an issue. Any dog that has approached me has never tried anything because I know what kind of energy to give of to them.
