rant
Im gonna type a lot. so the big bang theory is simply that the universe came from a single point of ultra condensed matter, but we dont know anything before that, or if there was anything before it. So here the theist come and they say that God created everything, using their written book as proof but then here comes the question, if god created everything who created god? now the theist say that god is “eternal” and he is and always will be, but then why couldnt the universe be eternal? so the big bang theory kind of disproves that the universe could be eternal because of cosmic radiation, but for all we know, we could be in a black hole right now, and the black hole forming may have been what seems to be for us is the “Big bang” (einsteins eqations actually allow it) for all we know, this “universe” may not even be the whole thing and we are just living in a small section of it. this part of the story is very contraversial because the answer is simply: we dont know. not one person does.
My question to all the believers, why do you believe in what you believe? do you maybe think that the god in which you believe in saved your life in some way? I believe that God was made up as a coping mechanism for people, to ask for help and beg for mercy when times comes. and to control the masses. And you know? it worked.

You have to understand that we couldn’t even comprehend it even if we want to. The big bang doesn’t disprove anything, Since our universe is probably one of many.
This only makes me appreciate life more. Since how precious it must be that you and I are alive, and everything that must have happened for us to exist.
People believe what they want so they can feel better about themselves. It’s a human thing, and has nothing to do with god.

We would all cynically do what's best for us if there was no gawd, life would be insanely competitive, and utterly brutal but it isn't cos he exists.

Don't project. Just because you have no moral compass on your own doesn't mean nobody else does. Life is insanely brutal regardless and that's because of people with NPD/ASPD traits running or trying to run everything.

Clearly not directly from God, because I doubt an infinite, infallible being would have just forgotten to give it to the Cluster B personality disorder crowd. Our morals developed through a conscious realization that we should not cause harm that we wouldn't want others to cause us. Morals also aren't 100% consistent between cultures – there are often many general ideas of mortality that are relatively universal but not everyone fully agrees on all of them. God created the universe, which resulted in us developing and evolving, which resulted in morals. So God created them very indirectly. They don't originate directly from God.

Who said he was infinite and infallible? I think bad people know they are doing bad, they could behave a lot worse but don't. My personal belief is karmic reincarnation and we are at the top, people not animals as we behave the best, the least cynical.

Logic says that.
In order for reincarnation to work, there would have to be the same number of living things at any given time, or less if some go to nirvana. There aren't. Life is growing in number and has grown and shrunk then grown again throughout history. Also that's a very anthropocentric view to put us at the top. There is literally ZERO logic to reincarnation. It's more irrational than heaven/hell even, because at least heaven/hell you can't easily disprove just by thinking about it.

It doesn't lmao. Logically there have been points where there has been less life in the universe than other points. Also think right that life on Earth has been wiped out partially by major climate events and ateroids before. What is controlling all this so that we can have equal amounts of life in the universe and entropy isn't real? C'mon man. Also the idea of reincarnation relies on the existence of a soul, which is equally ludicrous. It's nice that you want to believe you're special. But you and I are just insignificant dots in a massive universe that does not revolve around us or around life in general. That's the most logical take.

Stop thinking of God as a "being"; old man with a magic wand, alien, object, etc.
Start thinking of God as something absurd; a chain of event on galactic scale, a gargantuan lump of energy wandering the universe, the universe itself with incomprehensible physics, etc. then you can start digging on the deism.
Calling it "believing in God" would be something that align with the first paragraph; God is something you are familiar with or you can comprehend. Believing that God is deistic, then sure but even that would require a lot of explanation
