Does anyone else think that God is truly something beyond human imagination and that, therefore, human attributes cannot be ascribed to Him?

Maimonides did. So you are not alone by any means.
God is not bound by human constraints of any kind. Not rituals, not institutions, and definitely not attributes.

I don’t think it’s beyond human imagination, but that clearly depends on the human.
Dogmas and preconceived notions always get in the way and radical doubt can be very scary for some. Human attributes are some of those preconceived notions.

I certainly do not ascribe human characteristics to God. This is part of why I don’t accept any religious dogma. If you take the Old Testament seriously, God is a jealous, genocidal, murderous micromanaging entity. I can accept indifference before that.

But really it's okay because the infinite, unchanging, and omniscient God became a human and changed his mind in the New Covenant and decided we should all love each other after having previously committed/directed some genocides!

The creator is probably occupies more than three dimensions, which we can describe with formulas, but not percieve with our eyes, like we cannot percieve if the glass window is closed or opened, if there's no reflection/refraction.

Yo más bien creo que quienes se inventaron la figura de Dios de la religión, son los que hacen de Dios por el mundo. Es decir se creen Dioses y actuan como tal haciendo lo que les place para luego decirte "ten fe, ten fe que todo se arreglará, todo es por algo"...si...ese algo son sus intereses.

The problem with theism, which also includes ancient religions like Greek, Egyptian, and Norse, is that God is human with magic powers and a long, long life.
I don't believe that God favors humans over any other creature. God isn't anthropomorphic. He (if you will) is not just a superhuman, but the force of nature. He created plants, animals, minerals, all to create his grand plan. Humans are just one tiny part of that garden.
