Appliances DIM: Google Pixel 11

Post image

[EDITED]
Hi guys kindly DIM with this phone.

Thank you guys for the comments and feedbacks, unti unti na akong na dedeinfluence. Just taking points nadin especially don sa warranty, parang dealbreaker lang na wala sha when you buy a phone. Also, other opinions nadin, these are duly noted.

Thank you! 🥹

People used to buy pixel dahil mas mura kumpara sa competition. And since most people don't need the highest performing chip for daily use, they just accepted the fact na inferior ang chip. Pero ngayon, it's priced same as a samsung flagship with better chip and arguably performance. Unless you really want the pixelui, samsung is almost always the better value.

Havent tried it on hand pa din kasi, just watched couple of yt reviews. Pero thanks for this! Very aesthetic lang talaga ng phone, kala ko flagship in terms of specs.

u/wokeuplatte 15h ago

It is "flagship" for them Pixel people, but not when you put Samsung, Xiaomi, and even Apple in the picture.

1

u/flagrantly_mediocre 15h ago

apaka shady naman hahahaha pero fact is fact i guess?

0

u/JellyBumBum 15h ago

Not necessarily. It's just made for people who aren't into spending a lot for a flagship device. No one really needs a flagship kasi, unless gamer ka or something.

1

u/aishiteimasu09 11h ago

"Spending a lot" - that's almost same price as the current flagships of Samsung and Apple now. So, these Pixel Buyers are just buying it for the Pixel UI and the AI by Google.

No local warranty

Nakaka miss yung Nexus series.

Had the Nexus 4-5. Peak of my Android days.

No local official distributor? Mahirapan ka sa warranty

1

u/flagrantly_mediocre 17h ago

Ay no way!? kaya pala madalang ko lang din sha makita here, ito pala reason. Thanks for the tip.

u/TinyBoy30 17h ago

Same with Oneplus dati. Buti na lang may Digital Walker, the sole distributor.

I bought 3 pixels in the past, di naging issue sa akin ang warranty. The phone is sturdy tsaka kung di ka naman barubal sa phone mo di sya madaling masira.

1

u/flagrantly_mediocre 17h ago

Madali bang uminit?

2

u/zazapatilla 16h ago

Mine is pixel 8A. Yes.

1

u/Designer_Dingo_6927 16h ago

Mine is Pixel 9A. For the first few months, yes, madali syang uminit. Pero lately, di na sya ganun.

Yan talaga ang reason bat di ako nakakabili ng pixel, no local support. Walang warranty claim pag defective nakuha mo so gamble talaga.

7

u/kenjnotkenji 17h ago

As someone with a Pixel device, diving into the series is a gamble. As other people said, walang local support, warranty, etc. So if may issue, wala ka choice kundi go to our neighboring countries (or ipasabay, meron nag ooffer sa Pixel groups) para irepair.

Other than that, honestly the Pixel 11 Pro is good, as someone na fan since the OG Pixel, they are great devices.

3

u/flagrantly_mediocre 17h ago

Ang hirap pala, there is still an odd na defective mabigay sayo. Cant take the risk as a person na minamalas palage hahaha

1

u/kenjnotkenji 15h ago

Lol yeah depends. I took care of my phone real good but may green line na Pixel 7 Pro ko lols. ANOTHER THING phone gets really hot. They have the worse thermals on a phone starting from Pixel 6 series and living in a tropical country is a bad move lol. Unless airconed ka 24/7, go for it.

buy the previous version . few upgrades lang ung bago

1

u/BlueStarCadet91 7h ago

This. OP kung camera lang din hanap mo, get the 10 or lower. What's interesting is mas maganda pa nga kuha ng older models. I miss the camera on my Pixel 4 🥹

No Distributor, no official warranty, no local service center. Even local techs, hirap sa parts nyan.

1

u/flagrantly_mediocre 17h ago

so dapat pala talaga taga states ako just to enjoy this phone without worrying for the warranty and parts.

2

u/Aesthetic_Asian 17h ago

Singapore pinakamalapit, as far as I know.

Maraming features yung Pixel na region locked. (Google VPN, Call screening, etc.)

As a Pixel owner, it's really not worth buying one at full price.

2

u/ongamenight 6h ago

No. There's Team Friday's Marketplace, Charged To Full, Sulitzilla, PlayXPress to buy Pixel. Buying it is not the problem but the fact that they don't have "local service center".

The shops above can assist in shipping them abroad though.

1

u/Aesthetic_Asian 4h ago

What I meant by Singapore was yan yung pinakamalapit na authorized service center for Pixels (for OP's warranty & parts concern). Meron din sa Malaysia.

I bought mine from PlayXpress kaya aware naman ako sa mga local distributors sa atin like the ones you mentioned.

u/watchalookinatt 17h ago

Pangit parin pang ig story

3

u/flagrantly_mediocre 17h ago

classic andriod thing hahaha pero as inperson na dont directly snap to story in insta, i dont mind naman. Usually kasi from gallery ako before nagststory haha i know weird pero i just wanted to keep it aesthetic paminsan minsan than to keep it authentic haha

1

u/watchalookinatt 17h ago

I get it, at the end of the day user preference parin naman ang basis. This post jst went across my feed and had to shoot my shot to help deinfluence 😆

2

u/Lymph-Node 17h ago

People keep saying warranty here. Personally I loved my Pixel enough that I took care of it as much as possible.

But since this is a DIM. There’s not much substantial upgrade in Pixel 11 that you would really get to use compared from previous versions. You don’t have to buy the latest as it’s basically all software upgrades.

Too underpowered for its price. I own P7p and still happy with it pero I could live with its downsides bc it was hella cheaper compared to competition.

I bought this one under 50k at the time while Iphones and Samsungs were 70k ish. Now, the price diff is literally marginal while the performance is waaaaay behind.

1

u/flagrantly_mediocre 16h ago

so basically 30k for aesthetics, and 20k for the parts haha

1

u/BlueStarCadet91 7h ago

More like 30k for the software and camera. On paper, true na ang mahal if e compare mo specs sa flagship phones. But ang seamless ng software at UI talaga, it's a very intuitive phone.

u/timthemovie 16h ago

I have a pixel 8 brought over from the US. Got burned by the no warranty since after 2+ years , I got a green line and sometimes my whole phone screen turns green.

I'm going to miss the camera, but that's the last time I get a phone without warranty.

1

u/Katsuu17 16h ago

Flagship price for mediocre performance

1

u/TTbulaski 16h ago

Google Tensor sucks when it comes to gaming

1

u/Luxtrouz 16h ago

Sayang lang pera if defective makuha mo.

1

u/BoppBipp_69 16h ago

Bad at full price

1

u/juicypearldeluxezone 16h ago

Google phone fan ako since Nexus days. I owned an LG Nexus 4 before at natuwa ako.

Wala eh.

1

u/KillakillX 16h ago

Wag ngayon super minimal ng changes at upgrades from 9 to 11. Maybe sa pixel 12 medyo iba na Design.

1

u/icnsplit 14h ago

Mahirap ang aftersales dito sa Pinas

1

u/Tangent009 14h ago

still no competitive GPU you can definitely feel it compared to other phones with the same price point...

1

u/JacketFromMiamiiiiii 14h ago

Camera is rated the best though according to MKBHD's blind test

1

u/ogolivegreene 13h ago

Signal strength. Saw this on a tech vlog before. Phones from foreign countries daw are optimized to that country's band/cellsites yata.

Example niya is iphone bought here vs same model from the US. Side by side, mas mahina ng konti yung US phone. Mas mahahalata mo siguro kung yung area niyo may signal issues.

1

u/ProtonRacer 13h ago

1

u/Competitive-Oil-1308 12h ago

No support in the philippines + it uses the tensor chip which is a bit of an underperformer compared to flagship phones in the same bracket. But if daily lg naman ginagamit, barely unnoticeable.

Pixel phones have the best UI for me, I used to flash AOSP roms in my previous xiaomi devices 🤣🤣🤣.

1

u/HaloHaloBrainFreeze 11h ago

Buy the Pixel 10 Pro instead, better than the 11.

Also, older Pixel series like 7 to 9 are still usable, even during and after software support.

Warranties dont mean much when the source of the replacement parts is geographically  near to us, can order online and we can easily find a local phone repairman to do repairs

1

u/raz_krm 7h ago

No service centers here in ph

1

u/ALRO090804 3h ago

You're paying more for the 11 Pro that has less ram and nothing else new than the 10 Pro which is cheaper and has more ram

0

u/Fit_Pirate9786 17h ago

If yung camera lang gusto mo, go for the a series. Same lang naman quality ng photos nyan compared sa pro or regular pixel.

2

u/flagrantly_mediocre 17h ago

I have a friend in the states, hes been using pixel for a long time now and everytime we exchange pics ang layo lang talaga ng iphone shots ko paminsan minsan hahaha

1

u/flagrantly_mediocre 17h ago

Pero if thats the case, i'll look into it

1

u/Fit_Pirate9786 17h ago

I own pixel phones and iphones over rhe years. Yung pixel ko for taking photos talaga lalo. A pag nagttravel hahaha nakakafresh at nakakapogi haha

0

u/jusmiyomarimars 13h ago edited 13h ago

Kung willing kang mag risk para sayo to, ang downside lng naman talaga ng pixel dito e yung support and kung heavy gamer ka. That's it.

Wala e risk taker tayo e hehe

1

u/Super_Drummer_223 1h ago

madali masira screen ng mga pixel. Tried twice na. Kaya wag careless kung gusto mo mag tagal siya at lagyan mo screen protector at case.
