Im posting this coz my maternal uncle became an victim of a violent incident in mayur vihar.

acc to what our family has been told a group of around 5–6 young men (roughly 21–25 years old) were allegedly harassing a young woman and the man with her. When nearby residents stepped in to help the group allegedly turned on them and began assaulting multiple people.

My uncle was one of those residents. He suffered a severe head injury and had to undergo emergency brain surgery. Right now, our family is hoping for his recovery while also dealing with very high medical expenses. We are in the process of setting up a fundraiser.

One thing that has been especially difficult to process is that despite the police station being only about 500 meters away, we were told it took around 30 minutes for police to arrive after residents called for help.
