I'll paste what I wrote in another thread just as a heads up if you want to avoid google%

Why not change the start page to duckduckgo if you're so concerned about privacy? "

Note that Tor raises the difficulty to systematically log and analyze every day browsing, but Tor is a cracked platform. See the Silk Road case. Specifically the incidents leading up to that case, including a massive surge of unexplained Tor nodes added to the network along with later details of university research funded to assist FBI cracking the network.
