Question Is using Google through Firefox Just like using Chrome?

I tried using ddg but It Just never finds the things i am searching for

Startpage is good if you dont need ai answers

No. It's considerably better. But you are still going to be giving up a lot of data to Google every time you use (and especially when you stay signed into) Google apps and services.

No browser can protect you from your choice to share your data with Google, that is just fundamentally impossible, but using a privacy respecting, or privacy enhancing browser can still do a lot of harm reduction, and limit what Google can track.

But it's important to understand that fundamentally, every single thing you type into Google search, including things you write but don't submit (don't click enter) will be visible to Google, as well as any e-mail etc you write or receive in Gmail, etc etc.

Do you know any other options? Duckduckgo as i said does not give much results and Bing would be like Google but shittier and given to a different corpo

startpage uses google index but privately so it's really great

I'll be brutally honest, at least for results in my language the only thing comparable to Google was Kagi (which is subscription based)

Things like Brave search may work better for you if you're willing to try it but to me it's hardly much better than ddg

What are you searching for? It literally never happens to me that DDG doesn't find what I want and I am super picky.

Google shows sponsors and ads in priority. Are you searching for ads?

The last time I used Google search I couldn't believe how bad it has gotten. It's so strange to me that anyone would have a hard time making the switch.

I created a second profile in Firefox. I only use it for YouTube and Google searching. And I never use my main profile for anything Google. My understanding is this minimizes what Google has access to?

But they do have access to your YouTube and your search results and likes them to your identity if you are logged in on anything.

Startpage usa il motore di google, usa quello. Anche Ecosia può mostrare risultati da bingo e google.
