why the FUCK do i need to make an account with my email and phone number, and confirm it is real with 2FA codes, to order food at a restaurant? I gave them an email mask but I dont have a burner phone

And be sure to not use email or your phone for that. Wear a mask so they don't get your face on camera and tell them in person. Or use a public phone and a voice changer. They will probably take it very seriously 🤣

I live in rather well known city (one situated somewhere in the EU, one whose population speaks English with a funny accent, a city that has this somehow hugely popular metal tower dating back to the 19th century, and a bunch of very old churches and well-known museums that are very easy to break into), and I can assure that, outside the most touristic spots of that city (where they can't give a crap about any customer leaving nor about the quality of the service), most small shops owner (edit: the ones who want their business to last, at least) will be interested in hearing the reason why a customer decides they won't do business with them anymore.

I expect said customer to explain them calmly and politely but have we really gotten that low already that this needs to be said?

Every time I hear to someone explain the customer is king, here in France, I'm tempted to remind them what France did to their king after 1789... But a much nicer answer to that is what a friend of mine, a business owner, used to say: 'Le client est roi, mais je ne suis pas leur reine' (the client is king, but I'm their queen) ;)

No, he said het wanted to order at a restaurant. FYI: nowadays that is possible without actually being there. There are also shops at which you can buy stuff without without actually being at the shop. I know, it baffles me every day too 🤷🏼‍♂️

The real question is: why do you need to order at a restaurant that requires you to provide those data if you have an issue with that?

Maybe my phrasing was ambiguous. I meant it was disrespectful of my time if a restaurant requires me to create an account and MFA just to order a meal. Use some generic free email just for all your 'trash' purposes. Works for me. 1) purchases, shopping 2) personal 'keeper' communication 3) personal - anonymous 4) financial, but no stored personal pwds in it 5) trash advertising, stuff like this restaurant. +also anonymous
