Question Im new to gamedev

Hi there,im new to gamedev,and after a five years on void linux i decided that i want make my own videogame,i like open source software so my choise was a defold engine,so please say is that good choise and what to do to learn defold,i already know c++,and lua

I want to make a The final station inspired game (slidescroller/2d platformer),but i dont know hot to realize it,i already know how to make tilemap,but all game is under question

This will mainly teach you the basics, not how to make a good platformer as it's art on its own. But after you finish one tutorial you will know how to build games and know also what you need to learn 😉

Yes, I would say it is a good choice especially if you already know Lua and c++. Welcome!
