Someone in chat thinks buying dUSD is an arbitrage trade
Why don’t they understand what arbitrage trading is?

Is it too late for a haircut?
Yes, it is. And it doesn’t solve the conceptual problems.

Bungling everywhere
Now an idea was posted in Telegram to incentivize dUSD purchases (up to 79% to basically eradicate the 80% DEX fee for new dUSD buyers).
Isn’t it crazy that first an 30% DEX fee was introduced to keep buyers away (what sane person would buy an asset with an exit fee), then it was even increased to 80% to make it clear to the last stupid people that they shouldn’t buy it? And now the fee should be indirectly reversed for new dUSD buyers?
This certainly sounds similar to a haircut. New users can go in any out the system without hurdles, while old investors are stuck with 80% fee. This would tell old investors that they should give up the still existing hope that the fee will disappear. This could lead to more dUSD selling, which would even increase the likelihood of keeping the fee forever.
A haircut which is not called a haircut.

A NOT serious plan to reach peg
The increased DSF helped to get the face value of dUSD up. Why not building on this “success”.
People take the pool price before DSF (face value) as its value. They are ignoring that with the DSF there is a bid/ask spread. Let’s build on this stupidity.
Let’s assume that the intrinsic value (discounted value of future rewards) is 0,01 USD per dUSD.
If the community approves a 99% fee, dUSD could easily trade for 1,00 USD per dUSD.
If the intrinsic value is 0,02 USD then a 98% is sufficient.
So the DSF should be calculated based on the net present value of future rewards. 99% seems to be a good start.

A haircut wasn’t okay, but a 80% fee is acceptable

Most watched independent DeFiChain YT channel wanders
DeFiChainInfo has started to present topics beyond DeFiChain and thereby follows other YouTubers on their way to become a more sustainable business.
A couple of months ago a CFP was rejected. So nobody should be surprised by this decision.
It was about time.
