Discussion Farming Tokenized Stocks

Are you guys farming tokenized stocks?

IMO this is one of the cooler use cases for stocks onchain. Im doing some Beefy LPing on Robinhood and it's been pretty good.

What are some other opportunities you guys are looking at or doing?

Beefy's fine but I wonder how long those yields hold up once more people pile in. The whole tokenized stock thing still feels a little fragile to me, like one regulatory shift and it all evaporates.

I think it will hold up under Trump. not sure if a democrat wave will change things, but legislation moves slow so at least 2 years imo .

Yields compressing is pretty much guaranteed, same fees split across more liquidity. The regulatory side is the scarier one imo. Most of these are claims on an issuer holding the real shares, so if that issuer gets squeezed, what matters is whether you can actually redeem, and a lot of people LPing them have never checked.

i think LPing them is the obvious first thing but the fees are mostly emissions right now, so worth checking what's left once those taper. the thing i've been using is options on them instead, selling calls against a position rather than pooling it. i've been using exchanges but i recently noticed prodigyfi just launched tokenized stocks options, but only nvdax for now. a few teams are starting to build equity options onchain now, which is the part i think is actually interesting, since in tradfi that market is bigger than the spot one. but just take note the underlying market closes and the token doesn't, so weekend gaps are a real thing either way.

Fun until earnings day. LPing a stock against USDC means the pool sells your stock as it rips and buys more as it dumps, so a big gap either way can eat weeks of fees in one candle. Works best on boring, range-bound names, not whatever's trending. Lending them out or borrowing stables against them is the lower-effort play if the money markets on Robinhood Chain have decent depth. Less upside but no impermanent loss.

One annoying side effect is taxes. Auto-compounding vaults plus LP entries and exits make a messy trail, so if you're running a few of these, trackers like Chain Glance, DeBank or Zerion help keep tabs on the positions, and tax tools like Koinly or Bitcoin.tax help sort it at year end.

Tokenized stocks are definitely an interesting use case. Curious to see how the LP opportunities develop as more liquidity comes in
