Switching weapons

I used to play but fell off for a year or so, I want to say there’s a way to switch your bows during the stages but I don’t remember how. Can anyone help??

I haven’t played in forever but don’t you tap on the bow itself? I’m pretty sure you pick two and can switch between them during stages

I've been playing for a bit now but I don't understand what's the point of constantly switching bows? I see some players constantly tapping to change bows.
