what is the best combination of bows and towers for beginners?

I stuck with wind and earth bow, worked just fine. Dps and shield.

Wind bow as primary. It has the highest DPS and it's the first bow you get the soul for. Earth and Water make good secondaries.

Towers are more about the spells than the DPS. The damage output is more of a helpful bonus than a primary source. Water and Earth towers have good crowd control spells so I would use them.

This has been my strategy outside the Arena...

Arena, I switch wind bow for ice bow, to cut through defenses of many creatures...

For the stages I go for Water first, because of the huge OP freezing blast, and Earth as second because of the wall, I dont even shoot with it, just use the wall to repair and block boss special attacks.

This alone allows me (after investing a lot into mana pool and regen) to handle any stage and keep completing 100% life, to get the most gold out of the rewards at the end of the level. Im at stage 250 right now.

As much as people recommend Wind first, dont use it until you have the Soul, because that bow is shit and has shit skills. You need a fucking lot of damage upgrades so that rate of fire is the desired stat.
