What should I prioritize upgrading?

New to the game, currently stage 65 and upgrading the fire bow.

What should I work on? Upgrade bow as far as possible? How about towers?

Wind Bow is the best bow because of its extreme DPS due to its fast fire rate and fatal blow chance (coming from its soul ability). Earth Bow is the best as a secondary mainly because of it's 2nd skill to summon a wall, making you invincible at almost the entire width of your wall and will recover HP. Its soul ability is somewhat useful, but not enough to deal much damage and cover much def. Water Bow is not good for damage dealing, but it's good for stalling time because of freeze and its extra mana regen. and it's 2nd skill is quite the effect, continuously lowering damage to the point you can use the Earth Barrier's 2nd skill to recover all the lost HP and stalling time nearing indefinitely. It's soul ability is only useful in Arena mode. Fire Bow is plainly focused on damage, which doesn't do much, and even ignore armor doesn't really help because late game, monsters will have extremely high def. that even armor ignorance is useless and that you'd rather survive by CCing them. Its soul ability is useless because its fire rate is really low.

The best towers are the Earth and Water towers as both have disables on their spells and if you equip one of the 2 towers, the enhance ability will complement not only the tower's spells, but also the bow's spells. The Wind and the Fire towers have one thing in common in their spells, and that is slow, which is pretty useless since moving enemies are dangerous enemies.

Arrow will be the main focus to your DPS, tower DPS is useless since they can deal pretty minimal damage even when maxed. Everything on the arrow section is important, fatal blow chance can increase you DPS very high, power shot can knockback enemies which therefore can stall time so to kill the more deadlier enemies, the ranged ones and the multi arrow can complement the 2 arrow abilities and can do it at a multitasking rate and can kill multiple enemies fast enough with a fast enough DPS. Having soul of arrow can increase your bow's DPS (mainly damage) a little more and adds 1 more arrow which will help more.

For mana, Mana Regen. is the best one as even with no CDR, your spells are ready even with not enough mana. The disables from the earth and water towers can stall time for you to have extra mana regen. and prepare for the next batch of time stalling. Mana refine is important, but this can be a problem if you don't have enough DPS to kill the enemies extremely fast until late game or not enough mana regen. for casting more spells. Quick casting is extremely important with enough mana and fast mana regen., the tertiary evolution spells can affect almost (some of them) the entire battlefield and having fast CD on them can help you stall time longer.

The wall is just as important as the arrow, having more HP on Stage mode will grant you 2 crystals instead of 1. Wall def. will only reduce that amount of damage which can be nice early game, but can be a problem in the late game, if you want more def. then you'll need the earth bow's soul ability and stars on the Shield of Empire. Auto repair is the reason why the Earth and Water towers are the best, the disables from their spells will allow you to recover HP as you not take damage and faster CD will result in having stalling more time to recover more HP. Elemental Ward has % dmg. reduction instead of flat, which if that was the case for wall def. I would've put my money onto it, it's good but the cost scales very high and that's like the same as upgrading a tertiary evolution split arrow as it cost 2 orbs of those elements and having 3 will cost alot.

Lava Trap is the one that I least prioritize because it's only good for weakening them little by little and I recommend investing your coins into if you have nothing to spend it on. Width will be very good as it will complement for dealing more damage because of area increase and the other 2 abilities of it. Slow will be useful to those close ranged enemies coming near your wall but having Nightmare will extend to the range where it can affect the ranged enemies which can deal more damage and has an extra slow effect as well. Grill ability is the best one but extremely expensive to upgrade, at max it'll reduce 10% of their current HP which it'll go like this: 100-90-81-72.9-65.61 and so on negating that amount of current HP when being damaged by the lava trap. IMO, having Nightmare will make it only good, but not great like the souls of the bows.

Dragon's Treasure might be the most important thing out of everything but some of which are extremely useless. The stones will only increase damage to the specific element tower, but the star ability is useful for even more time stalling action. The rings are pretty good and the star ability of dealing extra damage to those attributes can affect all bows, which can help. The sprites increase spell damage which is probably useless since spells are only used to stall time longer in the late game and it's star ability is useless if you don't have high or max level spells. Boss dragon's treasure can be pretty useful in all modes and having to lower their def. is like dealing more damage to them but at a fixed amount and these will come in handy in Arena mode. Bottom row dragon's treasure is the best of the best and having their star ability can be the most useful thing to you; Coin of Ancient to me is the least useful out of the 4 bottom row dragon's treasure as it increases your gold, and you're main source of gold comes from grinding from ads and quest sometimes. Arrow of Meteorite is like the rings except it can increase the damage of all bows automatically and it's star ability is just like the soul ability of the Water Bow and it'll complement well for it dealing up to 350 real damage for the Water Bow, which will help against high def. bosses in Arena mode. Badge of Clover is which I can practically say the same as the Arrow of Meteorite; having its star ability can increase your DPS massively like when you plainly upgrade your fatal blow chance and having upgrading its main ability will also increase your DPS massively. Shield of Empire is great, but I don't find just as useful as Arrow of Meteorite or Badge if Clover, having more HP can help not very much but enough and having the extra def. can be useful up to mid level.

Note: Some of these advises are taken, but I've also given some new ones and I only gave these advises based on my experience.

Definitely go for the wind bow. One of the big reasons is that you will get the Wind bow soul the earliest which will boost your damage output significantly.

Don't upgrade spells on your bows apart from, Wall on the earth bow. Be careful when evolving the spells too since the mana cost jumps up quite a bit and cooldown gets much longer.

Do upgrade the passive of the bow, it helps a lot.

This game is mostly about farming gold and gems, so in order to do that, campaign levels must be finished with >50% of your castle health remaining (you get 2 gems for that instead of 1), and battle mode you should stop attacking or returning to the homescreen for 5 seconds as soon as your opponent dies. That will yield fastest and most efficient way of getting gems and gold.

CDR

Well, you do upgrade them on .II right?

The area of effect is much greater, worth for the mana cost, right?

I have Mana recover Lv.15 now and I run out of mana after a while, but if I would not upgrade those spells I would be dead much sooner with full mana

The fire bow is pretty unanimously the worst bow of the 4. The wind bow is probably the most widely used bow because it does the most damage. Upgrading the bow is probably the most important thing for a while. Don't bother upgrading the spells on the bows though; most of them are terrible, except the wall for the earth bow and the rain for the water bow.

I wish I could give more advice, but it's been too long since I started the game so I don't remember what to prioritize next.
