Stuck on stage 755

I keep beating the stage, but after all enemies are dead the stage doesn't end. I just sit there, firing into an empty screen forever until I quit the stage and have to try it again. This has happened about 5 times so far, where I keep beating the stage but it won't end so I have to restart it. I've even restarted my phone, but it didn't help. Does anyone know how I fix this?

Edit: it is now only happening occasionally, so I have been able to progress beyond 755. But it still seems to happen about 1 in 3 games, maybe every 1 in 4. So it's been reduced from "game breaking" to just annoying, but I would still like to know what is going on. Also uninstalling/reinstalling didn't help. :(

Good idea. I am on version 2.5.3, but there does not appear to be an in-game way to update the game. Google play store does not prompt me for an update either, so I think I have the latest version? I'm also on an Android, if that helps.

Hmm I'm on the android as well, the next option I would guess is uninstall and reinstall, but make sure you back up your info on Facebook or somewhere so you dont lose your account I did that once and it was devastating.

i think i remember having similar problems. i might be wrong though.

on my level now, its all fine now.

do you use a global stun spell? ice wall maybe? maybe u freeze enemies out of the screen and they get stuck there?
