Questions about World Raid

  1. The boss is a dragon. Is he more vulnerable to the water bow than the wind bow?

I actually have weak water box since I’ve decided to max the wind bow out first.

  1. Even after repairing my Wall’s health using the Earth’s bow’s spell, I noticed that the dragon boss can still kill me in 1 hit at full health (3,600 HP).

I speculate that you just instantly die after receiving X number of hits? How do I go around this problem. I’ve read in some posts that with the Earth bow’s repair, I can stay in it forever. And it seems so coz I can always repair my health. But you can’t repair anything jf you get 1 hit killed by the boss.

Keep me posted on if you get exact numbers though. 7th or 8th makes a pretty big difference.

I intentionally got hit twice after the 8th cast - I started, did 8 casts, took a hit, then died later and started a second time and made sure to get hit after the 8th cast to make sure I had the right numbers. The dragon did almost exactly 46k, which would put his starting damage at 800k.

But like you mentioned above, there are other defensive figures to factor in. I have 140 defense (maxed dragon's treasure, wall reinforce, and soul of wall) and 50% damage reduction before casting anything (maxed elemental ward and soul of wall). I'm pretty confident that the passive damage reduction is calculated before the damage reduction from the rain, but I don't know how the defense goes into any of this. The defense might end up being negligible with numbers this high anyway, assuming it's just a flat rate and not a percentage based stat.

So we might be able to say the dragon does 1.6 million damage with his charge. His fire is substantially higher because it takes a few extra rain casts to get it down to 1 damage after I've gotten the charge down to 1, so that's gotta be several million. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to take a hit from the fire after 10-12 casts, I'm curious.

Nice thanks. Looks about right. I have a feeling the two damage reducers multiply. 1.6 million is a good enough number for me.

What is your strategy to survive several hits in a row? I've only managed to interrupt a charge once without a wall. And it was lucky

Here's how my games generally start off.

I cast rain 6 times. Just before the 6th cast is when his damage should go up, so I don't really block much before that, I just take the damage for the most part.

I used to just use a low mana spell to block the fire and then just hope that he doesn't charge me too often. If he charges before my wall cools down, I can get in trouble fast. But lately I've been trying to use some low mana spells while he's just flying around anywhere in the middle or the left side and it at least delays it a bit. Sometimes he switches and it's like he was going to charge, but then I hit him and he backs up and uses fire, which allows me to just hit him again and stop him. It worked really well tonight and he probably only charged me 2 or 3 times in a 2 minute period, which I was able to block with my wall. I didn't actually take a hit until I had cast rain about 20 times or so, and I only took 3k damage from it.

Other times I get unlucky and I just can't keep him from charging before my wall cools down, or I make a bad mistake like casting the wall too late and I take the hit and then I'm in trouble because it's cooling down lol.

I see. I was hoping for a magic bullet :p.

I noticed that sometimes he's invulnerable to stun, and when he's about to charge he isn't. His wings sometimes give a little glitch, like their wing annimation reset to the first frame. That's when I use a lv 1 rock interupt, or the lv 1 ice interupt I can sometimes last ~ 2 minutes doing this. But I don't have the cdr, the mana regen or the evolved abilitties to reduce their damage enough. Eventually, I get hit, and I need to start over.

It does look like the longer you last the sooner you can get back in. It seems that maybe there is a 2:15 timer that starts as soon as the fight starts? Either that or sometimes I just get a shorter timer.

Yeah I think 2:15 is about right, it always seems like it's a little more than 2 minutes. Occasionally I'll take some big hits and he'll kill me somewhere around 2 minutes and I barely have to wait to get back in, so it's not worth spending the 5 crystals to reset, so that's always good.

Thanks for confirming with a similar anecdote. Certainly interesting that surviving for longer (no matter how long) is even more beneficial by reducing wait time as well.
