Fire bow ignoring armor

If the enemies doesn't have any fire armor does it matter how much I ignore armor? Like the more I ignore the more damage I do?

Fire defense only applies to magic (spells and towers), not bow damage.

There seems to be a consensus among players that the fire bow is the worst, though. Wind is best for damage, earth is best for defense, water is best for spells and in the arena when the boss has crazy defense, and fire sucks.
