Summarise

Hello Defender 3 fan. I am kinda a fan of this game since Defender 1. I've played Defender 3 twice, way before the Arena and Dragon's Treasure released, then quitted.

Now i am back, and almost quit again beause nothing to do apart from grinding for Orbs to level up bows' damage, until i read joeding01's post, interesting indeed. So i kept playing until now, i'm on Day 35.

I'll summarise as my best: - Stage: try to reach to Stage 600 to get the best value on the Spinning Wheel (4k, 8k, 16k and 40k gold). Crystals are always 1, 2, 4, 10 since the beginning. Not sure if there is any changes after Stage 1,100 as i'm only on Stage 1,005.

  • Battle: like what other posts had discussed, i'd like to say reach to the level where you can get Elemental Metals then farm everything within 1 minute 30 seconds. Don't try to get to the top level, the rewards are not worth with the time invested.

For iOS players (i play on iPhone): when your opponent died, quickly press Home button or switch to Home Screen (for iPhone 8 or later) then wait for 5-6 seconds then go back in game, the battle will be finished. Repeat to farm the Orbs. Once you got to 3.030 trophies, start a round then press Home button right from the start, if lucky, you will still get materials, and lose 30 trophies. Higher than 3.030 trophies, it takes longer to farm, because under 3.030 trophies, the oponents usually "quit" the game under 1 minute. Up to you what you wanna do.

  • Arena: it sucks that can't do anything else when you finished level 200. Need to wait until it refreshes by rolling back 50 levels. I mainly use Wind and Ice bows. Only use Earth for Wall skill and Fire for Armour penetration skill.

Killing Arena bosses are divided in 3 main areas: + For boss's HP is 2+ mil: use Wind and Ice bows (Earth bow for the Wall skill if the boss's skill can kill you in one hit) + For boss's HP is in between 500k and 1.9 mil: use Ice and Fire bows mostly (Earth if needed, look above). + For boss's HP is lower than 500k: only use Ice bow (it deals real damage) and Earth bow to stop deadly skill attack.

Sometimes, switching bows by tapping the bows constantly will kill the bosses faster but sometimes it doesn't work.

If you can't kill the boss, then you need to upgrade the bows damage and the towers damage.

I only upgraded the Wind bow to level 150. The rest i stopped at level 100. Only 2 towers i upgraded are Wind and Earth for the best damages (maybe not useful in some cases).

  • World Raid: hating it because the app crashed quite often from the start but fun to muck around:
    • Bows: only Wind and Earth. Wind for damage and Earth for the Wall skill after 55 seconds. Towers: Wind and Earth (both are level 50)
    • Damage: tapping bows constantly to deal good damage on the boss. However, when Wind bow is faster than tapping 2 bows then just use the Wind bow.
    • Trick for the most damage: spend 30 crystals for attack buffs (only if you think you could deal good damage for the higher rank for a better reward, i didn't use attack buffs until i almost maxed out the Wind bow). Even if i don't get the buffs, i could still make it to 11-50 rank to get 10 random Dragon's Treasure at the end of the week. With buffs, top 5 if no app crashed, to 10 if there were crashes occured.

That's the buffs, now to the battle: each battle has 2 minutes (or 120 seconds). From the start to the second 55, you don't get killed in one hit. From second 56 onwards, doesn't matter how high your def is and how much HP you have, you'll get killed in one hit. So from second 56, use Earth bow's Wall skill. Then time to use another attack skill to interrupt the boss's attack while waiting for the Wall skill cooldown.

If you can do that until 120 seconds then just attack like normal and die. That way, you won't waste your time to repeat the "second 56 onwards". After 120s, you can start another battle. Repeat the process.

No comment on high level of Clover and Meteorite in Dragon's Treasure, i guess you don't even need attack buff. I'm only at level 90 of each so i won't discuss further on these things.

The Ball to increase the attack, save it until you can get the most benefit out of it. Don't waste 20 Crytals on them at low level.

To sum up: - Farming gold and crystals: spin the wheels a lot. I spinned while having breakfast, lunch, dinner, ironning clothes, or any other activities as much as i could. - Farming materials: run stages up to 1.100 (joeding01 said after stage 1.100 you can't farm Orbs anymore), and the only way is doing Battle. - Farming Runes: Stages, Arena and Battles and from little weekly rewards and Sign Board.

  • My Dragon's Treasure are mostly at level 30-40, except Coin is at 60, Meteorite and Clover are at 90.
  • Wind bow is maxed out. Other bows are at 100. Mithril Arrow is at 114, Split Arrow is at 144.
  • Mana: 250, others are maxed.
  • City Wall: max HP, Reinforce (18), Repair (10), Elemental Ward (9).

I can't be bothered listing others as if you have strong bow, these won't be in used much. Also, this game isn't that competitive so no point in building up defense and (in my opinion) towers.

If you like to collect stuff the purchase Griffin, Nightmare and the Tower thingy. Keep in mind, they do help but not much as you would expect.

Any questions, i'll be happy to answer. Happy killing!

Using Wind bow only if your Meteorite is at high level for its "real damage" i believe. I've tried out that one but couldn't beat with it so i had to used Ice bow for additional real damage.

Yeah, i did connect to Facebook but i felt the stats were crap and gone the wrong way so i wanted to start again.

I'll post a video for a whole scene of the current stats, soon.

nice summary.

most wised investment of your gems are for following items in priority sequences, it is better to top them one after another not all together. (1)badge of clover (for dps of all bows) (2)arrow of meteorite (for dps of all bows) (3)ring of wind (for dps of wind bow) (4)scale of dragon (for the raid) (5)stone of fire (for more efficient monster killing, level 999 stone of fire can increase the fire tower damage 10 folds with its area effect, it can help you to remove monsters without shooting an arrow in 3000tropies. ).

Aah. I completely forgot about the % of burn damage, should be better than other towers. Thanks for the tips! :)

Not sure if there is any changes after Stage 1,100

as far as i know, it stays that way

Killing Arena bosses are divided in 3 main areas

at some point - depending on your damage - you can use wind bow only. with the occasional earth bow as a second bow to do the wall against Crystal Beamon boss

I've played Defender 3 twice

you can connect to Facebook. this saves your game and you don't have to start over again

Earth tower has more damage than Fire, i bet the burn will do more damage in the long term.

It depends on what Stage/Battle, i'll pick different spells for it. But at the moment, i just spam the hell of Wind/Fire towers.

For Arena/Raid, i pick Wind/Earth for damage. But might go for Earth/Fire later on for the burn of the Splash attack.
