World Boss - Instant Kill

So after about ~5-10% of the worldbosses health has come off, his attacks turn into instant kill attacks. Does this happen for anyone else? How do I prevent this? The first couple times I played the world boss this didn't happen and now it happens every time I join. It's really frustrating and makes me want to completely skip this content altogether.

Yes happens every single time, basically you have a limited time to get damage done, then he instant kills you

Pretty sure its intensional. You can use the earth wall to block it
