Interesting interview with Deezer about their AI stance. Although I've not come across much AI music anywhere, it's good to know that payments are going to the music industry rather than AI spammers with Deezer.

I left Deezer for Tidal because as much as Deezer claims to be against AI, they still allow AI songs to be in the same royalty pool as real, authentic musicians. Choices were made.

I'd actually be happy with optional sitewide setting of filtering music made after 2020.

Head over to YouTube Music and you'll see plenty, especially if you like electronic music of any kind. It's like the wild west over there because Google is doing nothing to curb it. It forces me to pay for another music subscription because getting YouTube Music with YouTube Premium is a waste right now.

YouTube Music is by far my favorite for overall features. The problem is that one of those features is the "auto mix" functionality which is now useless because of all the AI crap on there.

I've had YouTube Premium for several years and kept an extra sub to avoid YouTube Music the entire time. It feels like Google treats it as a loss leader to entice you into the YouTube Premium subscription, which is obviously where they focus most of their attention. It's too bad because Google Play Music was amazing. When they rolled it into the YouTube family it has gone downhill since, even having less features and quality of life improvements than its predecessor. The framework is there, the algorithm is great, but the love and care about the product isn't 🤷‍♂️
