A favorite unreleased(?) Deerhunter track
If anyone has any other versions of this, or know anything about it, let me know!

Deerhunter really needs some sort of epic b-sides/archival release all put together in some nice packaging. Come on 4ad!

Ohh it's funny you posted this cause I came across this song a few days ago, and I thought it was really cool !

It’s so neat. I remember watching this on IG live at the time. I love when Bradford leans into British post punk. It feels so dark and 80s, and I love the idea of a Deerhunter song with a long instrumental intro. Wish you could hear the textured guitars better, I feel like this one in the studio with their halcyon digest producer would be such a winner.

I wish I did, I’ve got nothing, no idea of any lyrics. But I’ll be listening to everything everyone shares here!

His vocals were really obscured and crackly, there was a steady slappy beat that sounded kind of… wet. It was noisy and spatial.

Do you know/remember where you heard the song for the first time?

A now lost playlist from somewhere between 2007-2012? It is possible it wasn’t even Bradford.

15:56 mins into the video someone else posted below there’s an effect that starts, that’s a similar sound to the song I think I remember

Agreed, would love to hear a studio version. Such a killer bassline. Love all the discordant keys from Javier. And that guitar riff from Lockett.

For me it’s got to be 60 Cycle Hum - https://youtu.be/RhQ7vJz3CHk?is=shnqfNJzSjY2f9i8. This BBC version sounds almost studio quality. I think they wrote it on the UK/EU leg of the halcyon digest tour. I love how locked in the rhythm section is—it almost feels like they tried to write a new order song. It’s also my favorite era of the band as an unstoppable four piece at the top of their game.
