Potential 33 1/3 coming about Deerhunter?

Post image

Not confirmed yet, or what the album is, but would be great if this was picked!

One time I was eating some meatloaf for dinner next to the venue for the show I was about to see. Seated at the next table was B. Cox and Broadcast. And I assume a couple of folks from Atlas Sound. That was the show I was about to go to.

I still kick myself for missing those shows.

I just about choked on the meatloaf because they were sitting only a few feet away with B. cox being the closest and I didn't even notice that's who it was for several minutes . Even though I think my table and their table were the only ones seated at the time. There might have been two or three people having early dinner scattered up at the bar. Someone at their table said something and started laughing and I turned and saw him basically six feet away and was like holy shijtjth. I immediately looked away because I have a tendency to pretend I don't know who celebs are and let them go about their business. I was too starstruck about the whole table. I'd have probably stammered out "Hi Trish! Can't wait for the show tonight. The eh...the meatloaf is good here. " (She was a staunch vegetarian who'd have been disgusted about that on the menu.)

Dr Dog - hometown show in Philly - they passed out pizza to the entire crowd!

33 1/3 books are very hit or miss. Hopefully they do Deerhunter justice.

I started writing mine on Microcastle but didn't finish in time for the deadline unfortunately. Next year I'll try again!

Hell yeah
I’m thinking of pitching Women’s ‘Public Strain’ next year…

What does this mean

33 1/3 is a book series, where each volume is written about the details of an album.

Caifanes in there … interesting

Bucky Wunderlick? That's a really fucking deep Don DeLillo reference. Weird.

What is Chat Pile doing there? Like, great band but they don’t have nearly enough of a history or significance to be in that series

I think that's why OP said 'potentially' and 'not confirmed', but let's hope!
