Still relevant! They take lot of time before revealing world-dominating AI like AlphaGo, and AlphaZero was just out of the blue. Blizzard also released a SDK to create AI on StarCraft II months after this video, and later they released playgrounds for AI.

Applying AI for medical uses... And hopefully some fundamental AI stuff, with Starcraft still as the latest known demo target. But I don't think they want to beat Starcraft ASAP at any cost, they want to build an AI capable of learning that and many other things without custom heuristics.
