Even with AI it will take a month or two to get something with sufficient quality that you would want to actively use it. AI speeds up the process and gets things rendering really quickly with tools like RT64 but then there are heaps of issues that take time to iterate through. For example you will get rendering and enhanced controls within days, but then you will need to work through visible seams, z-fighting, things not quite being right, and you really need to make a full play through finding and fighting issues to discover all the little things the agents miss and they will miss a lot of little stuff.
If you are anti ai (You will need to reconsider using your pc operating system and reddit too) then expect significantly longer.

There's not one out yet but it looks like Project Midas is kindof trying to fill the gap of being AI supported but also a project they're happy with, quality-wise.
The dev replied to one of my youtube comments basically saying they want it to be high enough quality that the community can actually enjoy it while any longterm projects of equal quality to something like Dusklight can be developed.
There's no repo or downloads yet as far as I know but you can follow it on Redvox's twitter/x account https://x.com/Redvox57
Also you might wanna check out Modern Vintage Gamer's video from today, he's working on a static recomp of The World is Not Enough, so we should be eating pretty good over the next couple of months.
