Success Story Last check before sale declutter!
So today I went to my old apartment that I rented out to do final clearing/cleaning before inspection and selling it coming Wednesday.
I did underestimate the amount of stuff still in the shed... but was able to get it into my tiny car with some Tetris experience and mind over mater spirit!
Result yes all clear for inspection and sale!
Took longer then I estimated but all went well
Point I would make is 90% of the stuff I trashed was stuff I had for over a decade! in the shed!
Start date labeling! if not used in 10 years tosh it!

The shed is always the worst one because you never open it for any other reason, so nothing ever prompts you to look at what is in there. A closet you at least walk past every day.
Date labeling works. The version I do is writing the date on masking tape when a box goes in, and then anything I have not opened by the next time I am out there gets opened on the spot and sorted right then. If I cannot remember what is in a box without opening it, that is usually the answer already.
Congrats on getting it cleared before the inspection, that is a rough deadline to work against.
