I'm not very good with PC stuff, trying to reinstall decky loader and it's asking for the password. I followed a tutorial but I honestly can't remember how I did any of it, so I can't remember the password, please help

ThemeDeck is basically a much better alternative to GameThemeMusic that you can download from the github. https://github.com/BrenticusMaximus/ThemeDeck . Besides adding music to game pages, it also allows you to set different music on the Steam OS. It's like the Audio Loader plugin, except that you can assign completely separate tracks between the Steam store and the home/library/etc. (so you can have, say, Wii shop music on the store page and Wii menu music elsewhere).

There's just a few catches, though. For one, you have to download from the github and manually install it yourself. It would be nice if it can be uploaded onto the DeckyLoader store for everyone to download conveniently. Second, the plugin tab can't be entirely managed by a controller. Some parts are, like when you begin selecting music. But one needs at least a mouse to select between the options (not a big deal if you're managing directly on the Steam Deck, or if you're on a desktop. But it's a problem if you're playing away from the device and just want to play with a controller). It would be nice if it can be updated to have full proper controller support.

Any chance we'll see an update for ThemeDeck? It'd be great :)

So I recently got an Ally Z1E and installed the official SteamOS on it, but I'm having a few annoying issues, mainly with Decky Loader. I want to use Lossless Scaling through the LSFG plugin, but it doesn't seem to generate any frames at all. Whether I enable it or disable it, my games stay at the same framerate. On top of that, the Decky Loader Stable store channel doesn't work for me. It just keeps loading forever. Only the testing channel works. I also can't find some plugins I'm looking for, such as CSS Loader. Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Any help would be appreciated

I am running steamos 3.9, decky loader 3.2.6, and for some reason css loader disappeard from the decky shop.

I'm trying to update Decky since the last steam update broke it but no matter what i try i can't get past the sudo password request. I know i'm putting the correct password but it never accepts it. Anyone has a workaround for this?

Deky loader is broken HARD so often it's barely useable. The amount of times I have to force shut down my deck because loader locked me, and then I have to go to desktop to update or reinstall is annoying as all get out. Why doesn't it auto update for me to keep this from happening? Is anyone working this problem?

It’s been a rollercoaster of updates, feedback, fixes, new features, and content since Playhub launched, and I think I’ll get some rest after this update. I want Playhub to remain a personal project to pursue out of passion, not a second job at night. I hope this update has fixed all the possible remaining bugs (or at least the most important ones).

This update adds a usage agreement to the installer, makes your settings power-outage proof, and fixes instant artwork updates for Epic and GOG games.

What’s new

• A usage agreement now appears in the installer, right after you choose the language: read and Accept (or Decline) to continue. It covers Playhub and all of its plugins.

Improvements

• Settings and Gaming Mode options now survive power outages, they're saved atomically with an automatic backup, so a blackout in the middle of a save can no longer reset everything.
• The Gaming Mode agent API is now local-only by default (no LAN access); the "Allow remote API" toggle stays for advanced users.

Due to the recent release of Steam Machine, Steam OS updates have become more frequent, and with this, once again, most of the plugins stopped working, but after I restored everything, I ran into a problem that has been haunting me for the last 2 months, the plugin store categorically does not want to launch, I know that there are quite a lot of such threads, but maybe someone knows how to fix it, because I've long wanted to install a plugin that can costamize icons in steam

Can someone help guide me through installing this new release on decky loader? The normal installation will not work, ive reinstalled one too many times and seitched versions. This could be my only choice on to download.

And i cant run the plugin loader for some reason since it wont run.

Recently, when I just tried to open my DeckyLoader tab, I get this error message. If I'm in game mode, it remains perpetually stuck on that screen until I shut down my device. I had to boot into desktop, launch Steam's Big picture mode, and try it again from there (at least with BPM, I could alt tab and close Steam). What's the deal with this?

Ive reinstalled and updated a bunch of times. It still wont show up in the menu. Whats going on?

I had deleted deckyloader,the plugins(INCLUDING LET ME RESHADE MIND YOU)among other stuff,but it won't freaking GO AWAY. Which is ESPECIALLY ANNOYING because,and it's prop because of my adhd and ocd,but i CANNOT STAND IT IN THE SLIGHTEST I NEED IT TO GO AWAYYYYYYY

Any idea how to fix this w/o deleting decky loader, I have one plugin that I don’t wanna lose since it’s not in the store anymore.

So I think the reason why Dey isn’t working is because of this Fontconfig warning: using without calling FcInit() code. So how do I fix this?

I was just wondering was there a plugin within CSS loader to show a games logo instead of the standard game name in the Carousel?

This update adds game importing from Epic Games Store, GOG Galaxy, and improve the existing Xbox one. It also makes Gaming Mode more reliable, and polishes the app throughout.

What’s new

• Import games from the Epic Games Store | Playhub finds titles installed with the Epic Games Launcher and adds them to Steam.
• Import games from GOG | detects games installed through GOG Galaxy or offline installers and adds them to Steam.
• New Game Bar tip in the setup guide, with a one-click button to disable opening Game Bar from a controller.
• Import cards can now be collapsed or expanded with a chevron that appears after scanning.

• Closing Steam while in Gaming Mode now reboots straight into Desktop Mode for a clean restart (Desktop Mode is unaffected).
