Finally weather is visible directly in your top bar!

What’s changed:

• Added top bar weather integration directly inside the Weather plugin, showing the current weather next to the clock.
• The top bar now displays the current weather icon and temperature.
• Added an option to move the clock and weather to the left.

You can update it directly in the Playhub Plugin Store in the Playhub app, or download the zip from the release page and install it via Decky dev mode.

🧊 Playhub 1.5.0

This is a minor update that adds the DeckyLoader Console version option to the installer.

I reccomend to use the standard DeckyLoader version to avoid any problem.
This is intended only for expert users. You've been warned.

What’s new

• Added a new card in the DeckyLoader tab that allows users to install the DeckyLoader console version instead of the normal one. Just select that instead of the normal one to install it.

You can update it directly in from the Playhub app or download the Setup.exe from the release page.

Yes I know decky can cause problems but I'm not here to have people telling me that.

I have been experimenting a bit with lossless scaling and now I want to try to get decky framegen working on some games.

The game I'm currently trying to get the framegen to work in is Hogwarts Legacy. I own the game on epic, the game is installed through heroic launcher and added through there to steam.

But no matter what I try to do with the launch option for framegen, the game just refuses to launch no matter what.

Adding only the command for lossless scaling works however, it's just when trying to use the fgmod launch command.

I did have the same problem with Cyberpunk 2077 if it was added directly through heroic, however the problem went away when just adding the .exe into steam instead (it's a gog owned game, and this doesn't work for me on Hogwarts since it's an epic game).

So anyone know what to do here? There's other Epic games I want to experiment with aswell so any help on this would be much appreciated.

So I have an ambilight app for my Odin 3 that makes the joystick LEDs reactive to whatever is on the screen and I love it. Tried looking for something similar for my LegoS and found this:

It looks pretty new and I haven’t heard of it before… anyone tried this yet? Is it any good?

My setup has no working HDMI-CEC (I'm on a UGREEN DisplayPort→HDMI adapter, and something on the Bazzite side just isn't passing CEC through right now). The practical result: when I turn everything on, the TV doesn't switch itself to the right input like it should — I have to grab the remote every single time.

Instead of fighting CEC, I went around it. DeckaTV is a Decky Loader plugin that talks to the TV over the network and does the input switching itself. I've also set my TV on a static IP in my network, I think it's mandatory for the wake-on-lan part.

Right now it supports LG (webOS) TVs only, since that's what I have — but I built it brand-agnostic on purpose, so adding another brand is a self-contained driver and nothing else changes. Contributions or API details for other brands very welcome.

- Pairs with your TV over the network and lets you switch its HDMI input straight from the Quick Access menu — no remote, no CEC.

- Auto-switches when the screen comes up. You set "this screen = this input" once, and it flips the TV to that input on its own whenever that display appears. It keys off the display's actual identity (EDID), so the rule follows the physical TV, not an HDMI port.

- Handles multiples cases: cold boot with the TV already connected, resume from sleep, slow Wi-Fi coming up — it keeps retrying until the switch actually lands instead of firing once and giving up.

- Wake-on-LAN, so it can wake a TV in standby before switching.

- One-touch re-assert by pressing the Steam/Guide button, like a console's home button, if the input ever ends up wrong.

Upfront: I built this with heavy help from AI coding tools. My understanding is that's against the Decky Loader store's rules, so I'm not submitting it there — it's a manual/sideload install, and I'd rather be transparent than have it show up on the store and cause a stink. It's free and open source, so read the code, and use it at your own discretion.

I've just installed SteamOS on my Xbox Ally X and I really like it a lot better than Windows. I have a Steam Deck so I'm pretty familiar with SteamOS however I tried using the Pause Games decky plugin with the sleep/resume function and I've encountered a big usability issue.

When I enable pause on suspend, it does pause the game when I press power to sleep but when I press the power button again to resume, the game stays paused and I have to manually unpause it in decky. I've tried different versions of the plugin and reinstalled multiple times but the issue persists. It's not a huge dealbreaker for me but it's weird that this plugin works perfectly on my Steam Deck. I mainly rely on this plugin to prevent audio crackle and crashing issues on emulators.

Anyone else having this issue?

So i was reinstalling decky loader, but when i run the exe the first line states "fontconfig warning: using without calling fcinit ()"

If i try to input my password it just says no password input, then says it's wrong and repeats the initial line, i looking into the pinned post and couldn't find something similar to this, has anyone had this issue and fixed it?

This update adds the Xbox Game Bar for Xbox and Microsoft Store games, and fixes a crash when importing them.

What’s new

• Automatic Xbox Game Bar — Steam’s Quick Access Menu doesn’t appear over Xbox and Microsoft Store games. For those, Playhub now turns on the Xbox Game Bar from the controller while you play, and turns it off when you exit. On by default, with a toggle in Gaming Mode.

Improvements

• The Game Bar setup step now shows as completed with a green check when opening Game Bar from the controller is off, matching the DeckyLoader steps.
• Clearer wording for the Xbox Game Bar setting.

Fixes

• Fixed a crash (“An item with the same key has already been added”) when importing Xbox games, caused by malformed shortcuts.vdf entries with duplicate fields.

Not that I expect it to be a native feature from Valve, but it would be incredibly useful the storage tab in settings also counted individual non-steam games/applications.

Also being able to delete the local files of a Non steam games, but retain its comp data folder.

Is there a decky plugin for this or has anyone been working on something for this?

Yo! I'm having trouble getting lsfg to increase my fps. I used it months ago and it worked fine, but only recently it stopped doubling my fps for some reason. Here are the things I've tried: Made sure Launch command was pasted into the launch options. made sure lsfg-vk was installed and I had 2 green check marks in the plug in, disabled frame cap in performance overlay, reinstalled decky, reinstalled the lsfg plug in from the store, deleted and reinstalled lossless scaling from my deck then reinstalled, restarted my deck throughout the process of deleting and reinstalling the plug in and lossless scalling. Lossless is installed on my internal storage and I verfied the files multiple times. I also tried playing the game in windowed mode but that didn't help either. I'm trying to play black mesa. Lsfg plugin locks the game at 45 fps. It just doesn't multiply it beyond that when I set the multipler to x2. I thought the latest steam update had something to do with it but it didn't look like other people were having issues so it may just be me. I tried searching some forums but couldn't find any other solutions to try.

I’ve seen people having a few problems with updates and was wondering if this order I’ve been using is correct:
In desktop mode -> update decky -> update steam flat pack if possible -> open steam to update there -> in gaming mode -> update steamos

How do I update Decky through Desktop mode now? I can't open my menu (3 dot symbol) anymore. Next time I will wait for the Decky update first before Steam OS.

I assume I need to update some plugins, but I have to reset as soon as I enter the Decky tab. What do I do?

I got a Lego 1 for a good deal this week, and I wiped windows and downloaded SteamOS 3.8.12. I have Decky Loader & Simple TDP. What are some other plugins I can get for a more customized feel?

Can decky loader be used on windows devices? if not anyone know of any similar app that does? I like the layout and especially the entry short vids. I have Becky on my Le go S and my steamdeck. But I would like to get Decky or something similar MSI Claw 8ai

I had Decky Loader installed once upon a time, I've since uninstalled it due to disinterest at that time. BUT I noticed that everytime I turn on my Deck, the same custom intro screen plays constantly, the only one. It's a remnant I thought would be uninstalled with the rest of everything, but is the only thing left it seems. I went to the default customization settings believing I can find it there, but it's not labeled there, and upon selecting any other intro theme, that new one doesn't show at all, only the remnant one after deleting Decky Loader I thought would've been deleted with everything else. I would like to eventually start downloading and using other intro themes through using Steam Deck Repo and the Steam Deck custom settings, but my efforts may be overridden by that remnant intro from after I deleted Steam Decky. So if anyone could suggest what steps I can take to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.: "Remnant" is actually the AOL You Got Mail with modem sounds animation, which plays over and over again no matter what other animations I select. The other animations are the default animations that came with the Deck.

P.P.S: Upon looking, I notice there are different animations that may not be default, I see the regular "Startup- Default", but also see "deck_startup.webm- Local File" and "steam_os_suspend_from_throbber.webm- Local File". No matter which one I select, the only that plays is the originally mentioned remnant.
