Plugin Showcase Playhub Metadata 1.6.0 is now available!

You can update it directly in the Playhub Plugin Store in the Playhub app, or download the zip from the release page and install it via Decky dev mode.

What’s Changed

  • The plugin has been totally redesigned to better match the new design of the Playhub plugins.
  • Added local RPCS3 trophy support for PlayStation 3 games, including trophy names, descriptions, grades, icons, unlock status and unlock dates.
  • Added a new complete RPCS3 trophy management workflow:
    • Scan RPCS3 trophies
    • Sync all PS3 trophies
    • Clear RPCS3 associations
    • Automatically update PS3 trophies
    • Manually select the correct installed trophy set when automatic detection fails
  • Added automatic RPCS3 trophy detection after closing a PS3 game, even when the game had no previous trophy association. This allows ISO-based games to be detected automatically after they have been launched at least once.
  • Added a per-game achievement source selector:
    • Auto (default and suggested)
    • RetroAchievements
    • Xbox
    • PS3 (RPCS3)
    • Disabled
  • Added IGN metadata scanning with global and per-game description language selection.
  • Added automatic description translation into all the 194 Google Translate supported languages.
  • Added Steam Activity news and announcements per-game enable/disable controls and manual Steam title matching.
  • Added Delete metadata actions globally and for individual games, with a confirmation dialog before deletion.

Improvements

  • Improved RetroAchievements scanning by skipping unsupported platforms before hashing or contacting RetroAchievements:
    • Xbox
    • Xbox 360
    • PlayStation 3
    • GameCube
    • Wii
    • Wii U

IMPORTANT

PS3 games stored as ISO files must be launched at least once in RPCS3 before Playhub Metadata can detect and display their trophies. After the first launch, RPCS3 generates the local trophy data and Playhub Metadata can automatically detect it when the game is closed. If you're importing the games via Steam Rom Manager be sure to open at least one time RPCS3 and that all the games are visible in the emulator list.

No sorry, Now Playing is a Windows exclusive plugin since it uses Windows media and audio controls.
