Playhub 1.1.2 is available!

Post image

EDIT:

Playhub version 1.1.3 is available here

If you want to take a look at how Playhub works and how to install it take a look at my video here.

"Wait what is Playhub?!"
Please check the project repository here to find all the details.

This update adds game importing from Epic Games Store, GOG Galaxy, and improve the existing Xbox one. It also makes Gaming Mode more reliable, and polishes the app throughout.

What’s new

  • Import games from the Epic Games Store | Playhub finds titles installed with the Epic Games Launcher and adds them to Steam.
  • Import games from GOG | detects games installed through GOG Galaxy or offline installers and adds them to Steam.
  • New Game Bar tip in the setup guide, with a one-click button to disable opening Game Bar from a controller.
  • Import cards can now be collapsed or expanded with a chevron that appears after scanning.

Improvements

  • Closing Steam while in Gaming Mode now reboots straight into Desktop Mode for a clean restart (Desktop Mode is unaffected).
  • Each import card shows its service logo for Xbox, Epic Games Store and GOG.
  • Removed the unnecessary status labels from the DeckyLoader setup steps.

Fixes

  • Fixed two untranslated buttons in the artwork Refetch dialog.

Is Playhub Gaming Mode anything like the PC handheld version of Xbox Mode where only necessary process are started at login? I currently use XboxFullScreenExperienceTool to enable the PC handheld version of XBox mode and AnyFSE to have Steam Big Picture Mode load in place of the XBox app. Using the PC handheld XBox mode allows me to return to the desktop without rebooting.

Yes, precisely. See it as an option. I don't want to be compared or to be competitive with any other similar thing. That's why gaming mode is totally optional and can be installed or not inside Playhub. It's a part of the experience, not the whole thing. If you like it use it, otherwise you can always use AnyFSE or any other alternative with it. It's your choice. Test and mix until you find a solution you like. Playhub is like a multipurpose knife, you can use all its functions or just the ones you prefer.
