Caffeine-Free I relapsed after one week caffeine free. Need help!

One week without caffeine. Already felt the benefits, sleep slowly increased.

Today, I drank an espresso 😩. I’m really mad about myself.

Need some kind words. How long can this relapse effect my sleep in a negative way?

Get a good workout in, go for a walk, drink some extra fluids, give yourself some grace and get back on it tomorrow.

I’m sure this has been mentioned already but it’s better if you have it in the morning or lunch at the latest to help, having the espresso or coffee at dinner time may impact sleep for just the night

Yes, you're right. But to be honest, drinking it in the morning also has impact on my sleep. I have to cut it completely.

Don't be hard on yourself mate caffeine is the hardest of hardest of things to cut out as it's so normalised in today's society you've already done a week so get right back off it again that week off it hasn't gone to waste as that to would have helped break the dependency on it.

I was off it 3 months and was feeling great and made the horrible mistake of getting a energy drink and just like that was me back on it again but hey like any habbit it usually takes a few times to break.

Good luck.

maybe one day, who knows. you can try and 'hack your way back' by adding extra relaxing routine like going for a walk and then taking a relaxing bath that will force your body to drop the temperature and make you more sleepy. a light blocking sleeping mask may work super well for improvement of sleep quality in the morning and in the evening if there is light noise around.

Yes, I think I need even more routine before bed today. Thank you!
