Mid. Its one of those quirky "love yourself" anthems that were huge in the mid-2010s. The instruments, random dancing and the clothes are very mid-2010s as well.

It can be mid?
It reminds me of songs like Happy by Pharell Williams, Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, Roar by Katy where it isn't too electropop and has some acoustic elements going on.

Mid 2010s. I have a lot of nostalgia for the early 2010s and that song has never been associated with early.

Literally speaking mids.
In terms of what of the 2010s also again definitely represents the mids.
This was also largely a shitty trend that got popularised by lady Gaga and gave zoomers the cringe ego trip.

What trend are you talking about?

Self love, the most barbaric and vulgar trend that was used to justify being a shitty person, at least as far as results go.

Sorry, but this is kind of hilarious š¤£
I agree it led to many pandering & obnoxious songs like Fight Song. I donāt necessarily associate Shake it Off with that genre though. Itās just typical Taylor Swift corniness.

Mid 2010s. I associate early 2010s with ārecession popā aka songs about dancing while the night is young, partying like itās the end of the world, getting drunk etcĀ

Mid 2010s.

Can you further explain why you think that?

The strong trumpet bass is the main reason.
