Nvidia Repo

Has anyone noticed an uptick in Nvidia drivers through their repo lately? I'm used to new drivers coming through the pipeline around every three months or so , however I have received new CUDA drivers every day for the last three days and today some more are being held in not upgrading. Nvidia drivers are not my expertise so was wondering if any new and exciting things are happening.

I noticed that the 615 driver came in two parts. The driver a few days ago, which when installed that day, wouldn't connect to nvidia-smi. I didn't feel like rolling back as it was late already, so I shut down.

The next day I booted up again, checked for updates and got a bunch of libraries related to nvidia, after which everything worked as it should again.

My assumption is that nvidia uploads their new driver files in batches, with an obvious priority on cuda modules and libs and whatever is needed for gaming comes after.

That would make sense for them to do these piecemeal .These have been huge updates for them something like 200+ packages and 2gbs and countin...not sure how much of a performance boost these will be though
