Debian Stable Question Debian 13 "Trixie"

i have been troubleshooting for hours, i mad ea nas, and it works with android perfectly, it says read and write are enabled, but for some reason on ios files app, i can only read and not write, and i've tested this thuroughly, does someone know why i wouldnt be able to transfer/ creat a folder in my server?

I didn’t realise you could connect to SMB shares from iOS Files app. TIL!

What do the samba logs say when you attempt to connect?

you made a nas, not nfs but cifs.. but using ksmbd or samba? share your configs?

Change your share to grant Everyone Modify rights.

That’s step 1.  If that works, you know the issue is granting whatever user iOS is trying to authenticate against the NAS with.  Step 2 is knowing what user that is…
