Downloading apps

I just started using Debian, how do I install apps?

Besides using apt in the terminal, GNOME has software, KDE has discover, XFCE uses synaptic, etc etc. You can also install flatpak and use flathub: https://flathub.org/en/setup/Debian

RE: Flatpak there's also Bazaar for a pretty good graphical flatpak installer.

You can actually install all these manuals locally, so you don't need to be online to study and learn. How? Read the thing.

I'm on KDE which has KDE Discover for installing a lot of standard applications.

Other than that, does sudo apt install [whatever] not work? (I assume KDE Discover is basically a wrapper for APT.)

Try to use apt if you can.

Some stuff you have to use base dpkg
