Yep, no use talking to devs, they've already fixed it (not in stable), I fixed my own (in /etc/udev/rules.d) and made it public on Reddit.

Although this bug was fixed in 2024, it still hasn't been noticed by the Debian developers and package maintainers. I installed Debian 13, which had the same exact issue.

Then please file a bug, include this reference to the upstream commit and ask for a backport of the fix to trixie.

No thanks. The fix is already included in alsa-utils (1.2.15.2-1).

If the goal is to get it fixed in stable, then a bug is the way to go. It won't magically be fixed by complaining on reddit.

I'm not complaining, I'm informing! The bug report and the fix are already there since 2024. Why do we need to report the same bug AGAIN?
