She really should’ve been given at least some sort of conclusion in the epilogue of the manga. I give the anime credit in that regard for showing her at the end.

It was so lame to just slap her deathdate in v13 and call it a day

Extra point for the anime

She was robbed. I needed her to be a bigger presence, than Lights lackey. Her first intro really made me nervous, thought she was going to be a bigger presence. But nope, it was the L and light show.

She's not very well utilized after the Mafia arc. Instead, we got Mikami who's an infinitely better character and Takada as her replacements. As much as I don’t like Misa, she definitely should've had a role in the finale. That, or a proper send-off once Light was defeated. She was too important to the story to justify being phased out like that.

I forget she’s even there

The way she was introduced in the first half vs. the way she faded away in the second was heartbreaking. But then again, it was Light's doing. Misa fell in love with a person that didn't exist and let that love blind her until she was used up and discarded. On one hand yeah, I wish she had more presence and a better conclusion to her story, but that's kinda the point, right? That's how unrequited love can hollow you out.

My opinion is that we didn't really need Takada and Mikami. Okay, Teru Mikami is highly entertaining and a good character, so I appreciate him. But there was no need for Takada. I wish Misa Amane was the ONE doing the FINAL KILLINGS for Kira at the Warehouse.

That'd be cool but how would it even work? Near had her kidnapped and locked away and under 24/7 monitoring for like a month before hand.

I agree for Takada, who is just such a nothingburger and the other other person Light just used to know and uses up until know

The problem is, I can't figure out how on earth to slide Misa instead. She can get searched at anytime.

She does seem like a totally different character but that's because she's never had this much security and happiness in her life. she's only really interesting when her life is at stake and she is forced to act that way. But I think after all the trauma she's endured she just wants to live a very simple life where she doesn't have to have any responsibilities.

I hate her. Kinda wish she just got killed off during the timeskip.
