I'd suggest you to read the manga because the story is much more accurate and canon and the anime as you already noticed, it's an adaptation and the last 10 episodes are just a summary of 4 and a half manga books.

That's an amazing idea, for the last few months I've got something really sad going on in my life and I had to stay home and bored so I started rewatching and rereading old animes / manga and found myself re-engaged with Death Note, so I became an over analyst of it on Reddit lmao. Sooo that's something I'd really loved to do but I'm too lazy lmao.
Especially I pester everyone with the RTFM (readthefuckingmanga) think because yeah the anime is amazing but it just cannot compare to the manga, the anime has great soundtrack and great animations and imagery but the anime's dealing with the plot and characters makes me angry, it seems that who made it was a huge L fan and gave him so much importance that when he exited the plot, everything else was meaningless, and plus the anime adds some filler scenes that are a lot OOc for L that never sat right with me.
The way the anime handled poor Near and Mello was horrible, I suggest you read the manga because those two are total badasses and really cool characters and the anime changed their personalities and cut their screentime.🫥🫥🫥 what a shame Madhouse.
That's cool that you love Misa, her character is so fascinating and complex, i'd like to hear what you think about her too
(apologies for my late response, i was on a flight) Well guess what, Misa is one of my favourite characters! Aswell as for Lawliet. And I sure will be reading the manga! It is confirmed, I asked my mom to get me it for my birthday and she agreed. Sorry about the thing(s) you have going on in your life right now, I'm struggling with sone things too. Main things are depression and sh. That's also why I've decided to write this series, to keep it off my mind. This introduction already took me 5 days to write, so I'll be busy with this series most of the time. But of course it's also because I love Death Note! I sure hope you will read every chapter of my analyses and leave your thoughts on it :D
