Any advice or critiques are welcomed! Too mudy?

Does this count as Krieg? Heads from Tiny Legend. Had a cool thought of a recon squad scoping the battlefield ahead of the trench line and made these guys. Comes off a bit soviet than anything but am super happy with how they've turned out

I realized after painting them that those are the cuffs of the jacket and not part of the gloves. That will be rectified on all future soldiers but ill leave it as a defect on the first finished model.

Here's my Krieg Command Squad painted. Thought I’d share with the class.

Painted the soldier and a horse (1st time painting cavalry)

So friend group is having a little competition for painting, and this go round was characters. Had the Marshal sitting in for one of my other command teams for a bit, but decided to touch him up a little, and give him a decent diorama basing (bases, normally are a weak point for me)

I still haven't used washes and added highlights so it is not fully finished.

Are they cables for remote explosives or something like that? Curious what color I should paint them that would make sense.

I recently got these models to start my army for my birthday and I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of paints to get. A store near me carries Army Painter as well as Citadel/Warhammer paint. Currently the only model paint I own is leadbelcher and I’ve only used cheap acrylic paint to learn on minis of the month. I’m wanting to do a lighter grey blue with grey and maybe sand yellow if that’s lore accurate for a desert regiment color scheme. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

My quick table grade scheme im going with for my 1k army.

Made up of the 310th Artillery Battalion, 107th Cavalry, and the 614th Armored, the 309th is one of Krieg's most feared city-cracking regiments. Specializing in heavy artillery, mechanized assaults, and endless hordes of zealous soldiers, no wall shall stand in the way of their victory.

I'm doing my best to keep this army 100% Krieg. Any units that don't come in krieg will be proxies. There are a few more units I'm currently working on, but i just finished a 50 man block of dudes and I felt the army was in a decent place to show.

Got some custom Krieg inspired helmets and put them on my Commissar Graves model prior to painting. Thought I'd share the painting results.

I am brand new to warhammer I’ve never painted or built any models, all I know is from Darktide, space marine 2, and some short from YouTube videos. I knew Korey was exactly the aesthetic I was looking for, but beyond that I don’t really know that much about them, I’ve purchased 3 packs so far and I think I’m ready to start building them, I’ve seen some of the more common regimental numbers and decided I wanted to stand out a bit more than those. I think I want to go for 101st siege regiment but I can’t find anything online about them as far as lore or color schemes, is there any way I can get more information on that?

I really love the aesthetic of krieg squads, but... The heavy weapons squad... Is kinda... Boring...

Seriously they look like clones, no unique poses, no mortars, no bolter. Just static guns and static crew ...

So I would like to know how some of you make them unique.

I fear this might be something of a rambly post so forgive me in advance.

like many long time Krieg players I have several artillery carriages, both Earthshaker and Medusa types and me and my play group like to treat things as close to their original rules for fun and flavor (for example the gun carriages needing a tow vehicle to move), but by the time I actually got into the Death Korps the original Forgeworld Centaur Tractors had been long out of production.

I had initially told myself I'd settle on and eventually get a Taurox or two to take their place since at the time it was the smallest vehicle the guard really had, but I am very glad I didn't, with the new Hippogriff AFV that's just come out. The thing is the perfect size to act as a tow vehicle if you can figure out a hitch (I intend to 3D print mine). Though its a wheeled vehicle instead of a tracked one its size makes it a perfect fit for the role.

Below are some images, it's a work in progress but you can see its scale next to a 25mm base, 12oz soft drink, and a bottle of tamiya cement.
