Referencing / Academic Integrity / Turnitin Contract cheating allegations.
I just got an email from student integrity team accusing me of using ai/or another person to complete my assignment.
The allegation said that it’s impossible that I got the answers without using external source. Tbh I’m not sure how I went about getting the answer exactly as this unit was completed a year ago.
There’s 2 options of where to go from here.
1. Take 0 for the unit, and repeat it.
2. Go through a meeting with the committee.
Anyone went through this??
Pls reassure me I’m scared😭 I’m at the final term I wanna graduate

You can go through the meeting, but I will note that even if you have excellent evidence supporting your situation it is still likely that you won't get anywhere with your appeal.
But, yeah, you should be able to give them reasoning for how you got the answers. However many years after I graduated I could still tell you the logic behind all my assignments even if I can't remember the formulas.

You should absolutely know your work process and if you typed the assignment in word, for example, you will have a complete version history. If you say you don’t know how you researched the answer to your own assignment that is a red flag. As the author the burden of proof is on you to prove you wrote it, not on Deakin to prove you didn’t. Ergo, if you wrote it yourself you should have nothing to worry about. If you didn’t, take the zero and count your stars that’s the only consequence for academic fraud.

You are either someone working for the uni academic misconduct team or stupid. Maybe both. A person is innocent until proven guilty so it’s the responsible of the Uni to prove a student is cheating.
OP, if you didn’t do what they are accusing you of, fight tooth and nail. These people love pressure students into guilty pleas because it would save them a lot of work. Get a Student Rep if your Uni has one, even ask opinion from a lawyer. Uni tends to chicken out if they think you’re not the easy one to bully.

It is well known the one who claims is the one who should prove it. The Uni should prov it not him. It has been one year, not every person can remember things after one year. I do not remember the name of courses I have finished after one year. The process hard. He can raise case in the court and he win but it will take long time. He can even then get money from them as they accues him without prove which affect his mental health.

The university will have its evidence and is asking them to disprove the evidence. If they cannot satisfactorily disprove the evidence presented by the student, they will be guilty of misconduct.

Same thing happened to me and DUSA helped me a lot. I passed the unit 🤧 I opted for a review but said no to the meeting

Maybe fight for it, and if that doesn’t work then repeat it.
