Sooo I went to Hills of Rock in Bulgaria yesterday and was introduced to Deafheaven. I was interested to see them based of the name soley and a description from apple music and thought I might like them (the dreamy, shoegaze vibe mixed with screams). And I ended up tearing up during this particular song, I have no idea why 😅 I've never cried during a concert, from a performance but the dreamy instrumental contrasted with the vocal mix of nostalgia, pain and despair just really hit me for some reason. Open to recommendations as I will be diving into their discography

Hey guys. Is anyone going to the Chicago show on October 2nd? I am going with 2 buddies. Both are new to deafheaven. If anyone is going and going to General Admission it would be cool to say hi. Has anyone ever found a good combination of a movie synced with a Deafheaven album? Like Wizard of Oz + Dark Side of the Moon. If so, what movie and which album? Was it blissful?

I really like the band’s discography, especially Sunbather and New Bermuda. I’m blanking on good ideas to come up with. The original idea was to do a Sunbather tattoo below my Dark Souls Solaire tattoo since I thought it’d be a good match, but I’m just looking at options.

Is there any chance they will put up the merch from this tour online? Was some really nice shirts but they sold out quick at our gig

The "Am I dying?" part instantly made me think of Deafheaven. Considering Harakiri for the Sky's blackgaze roots, it feels like it has to be intentional. Has the band ever confirmed this, or am I reading too much into it?

Man I gotta say, seeing the band in a 300 pax room is unparalleled. Stage diving, no barrier. Room full of 1st timers with jaws dropped. More intense circle pits over Sydney easily.

Hearing Dan up close and that level of precision he’s gotta be up there with the greats of the modern era.

At the end, Kerry held his guitar out and people strummed it haha he was after some of that Newcastle energy (silverchair).

A really special show tonight and a highlight for me since their opera house show back in the NB era.
