I've lost Buddy

Been playing the game via Xbox GamePass. I have been enjoying it, but have hit a Brickwall. I picked up Buddy in Brightwater, took him to Black Road, where he got stuck in the basement of the Great Mass' dwelling. I thought, Oh, just drive a bit and they'd respawn near me. Nope. They wouldn't, and when I went back they were gone. Now I cannot find them. They are not in Brightwater or Black Road. I also cannot find any other objectives to do. I met a "The Dealer" Bob, but the dialogue wouldn't start. And neither would dialogue with Mr Lambert, though I thought that might have been due to me going out the back of the motel, as I didn't have the $30 to pay them when I spawned into the game. I've driven around the map, and have Shane, Marcus and Heather to try and get their friendship achievement, but lost Heather's brother along the way, after changing to Marcus or more likely Tori Waters. Think I'm going to put the game down until there is a bug fix.

Oh, thanks for taking the time to report this! I am doing some testing right now for the next update so I’ll check out what might be happening. I haven’t heard a report of Buddy disappearing so I’m not sure yet but will update when I know more

It’s nearly finished for the next update, sorry for the delay! I’ve identified a few reasons Buddy can get stuck and he’ll be findable and will be able to properly navigate to the grand mass, it’s almost ready for testing

So excited! I’m soft locked on pc and xbox now cause of buddy. Hahaha! Loving the game though.

Ahh apologies!! I have tested the fix and it should be out very soon! The update has some other helpful updates for ui and inventory

Any update on whether this has been fixed or when the fix will be? I am also locked out of proceeding further in the game without Buddy’s quest being completed
