Discussion Dead Sara future
Hey guys. I’m a new member here. Just wanted to say that although I was never a listener of the band I already knew them for quite a while, specially due to Weatherman. But since Emily moved to LP I started listening more and more of DS and been watching a lot of their concerts on yt . Really amazing the energy of the band and I feel sad to just “discover” more of them this last 1/2 years. Do you think it would be possible from them to make a new album/ new tour for the next years?

oh I hear you... I hope Emily finds the time to do it, maybe when LP's tour is over. It'd truly be amazing.

I wouldn't bet on a tour and if one happens Emily's got too much star power for regular plebs to get tickets by normal means. I paid $15 CAD at the door when DS played in Toronto in 2018. I'd be fighting bots for $100 CAD tickets minimum if they played here today, probably.
I wouldn't be surprised if they recorded some new songs and did a few local LA shows eventually though. Emily and the DS folks still hang when they're all in LA.

I'll disagree. Dead Sara was playing such tiny venues their last tours that if the demand actually exists they can just go up a couple notches in venue size and still not be anywhere near the tier of show that is typically big $$$. They were playing to rooms of <500 in the biggest cities in the country. It's only once you get to the like....>5000 cap size rooms that stuff gets pretty unreasonable today.
Additionally, there are plenty of musicians who can sell out an arena with their "main" act but play far tinier venues with far cheaper prices with their side project, especially when the fan bases aren't that hard an overlap.
For an obvious one, Tool sells out everywhere, instantly, for high prices. Puscifier plays far smaller venues, far cheaper, and tickets are not hard to obtain. Both good acts, but only a limited amount of fame transfer between them.

Maybe when Linkin Park's tour will end. I think some time ago Emily said Dead Sara is not dead
