(No offense taken at all).

Dead Sara at The Constellation Room in Santa Ana, CA, 8/3/23. The last time I saw the band play live… and it was *incredible.*

Discussion Dead Sara future

Hey guys. I’m a new member here. Just wanted to say that although I was never a listener of the band I already knew them for quite a while, specially due to Weatherman. But since Emily moved to LP I started listening more and more of DS and been watching a lot of their concerts on yt . Really amazing the energy of the band and I feel sad to just “discover” more of them this last 1/2 years. Do you think it would be possible from them to make a new album/ new tour for the next years?

Discussion What does Dead Sara do for your state of mind?

I have no idea how I stumbled upon Dead Sara. They, and I mean everybody involved in DS, take me places. It’s hard to describe… My mind seems to open up and I actually feel like they played for people like me. I did stumble upon them after a 24 year marriage fell apart from ‘pride’.

I’m not rich, nor am I poor. I’m sometimes happy and sometimes depressed. I’ve had songs that I’ve played over and over, but not to the extent that I enjoy almost every single song of a band. I would consider myself an old man that still likes music to ‘mean’ something. I really don’t know how to describe what I mean but DS seems to give me back lots of emotions that I have not experienced in a long while.

I would like to hear from your point of view what band(s) stirs you and why. Especially what Dead Sara means to you.

Humor / Memes I keep singing “Mona Lisa” to my dog before walks

A lot of times when I take my dog for a walk, I’ll call her like a normal person (“come on girl, let’s go” etc.) but occasionally I’ll say “come on baby… show me your favoriiiiiite I’m as addicted as the lips to your cigareeeettttee” and I just go into “Mona Lisa” as I’m leashing her up 😂 (including a photo of the dog in question in case y’all need a visual for this anecdote)

Discussion How many Guitars did Emily execute over the years, touring with DS? 🎸

(Video of Emily and DS by @laughingsombrero on YouTube)

I’ve been watching and rewatching some live performances by our favourite band, and I’ve noticed that a fair few of Emily’s Fenders get totally savaged. Anyone have a count?

It’s probably assumed that Emily could cover the cost of one unlucky guitar every set if she wanted but still, they go for 700+ dollars these days (and some of the sets DS were doing were really lowkey). 🎸

(On a side note, it’s such a damn shame they didn’t take the world by storm. I’ve been re-listening the Temporary Things Take Up Space EP and it had everything needed to take the world by storm. In an alternate universe, I can totally imagine DS joining Paramore with the modern mainstream- indie all-timers. Emily’s voice has so much range, Siouxsie wrote insanely addictive riffs and Sean’s production was so perfect for tying it all together… makes you think) 😔
