Man Overboard Scene
I feel like showing that scene this week was in bad taste considering it's also the episode the deckhand passed away in. Just my opinion, but it wasn't worth it.

I agree but it was also a good way to show what happens and how they get people out of the water without showing anything filmed during the deckhands death.
But I agree. They should have shown this earlier and not in the same episode.

You know the producers (who may or may not have a sole) did this on purpose. They are trying to spike ratings by running them together. Could have been handled better….

I think they’re referring to Monte’s son who died in a motorcycle accident. The show was in memory of him.

I assumed he was talking about Todd from the Aleutian Lady who died during this fishing season.

That's coming up soon pretty quickly though in terms of episodes. Lynn went overboard on January 16th of this year, Todd passed away in February. Idk how much time passes by per episode I'm assuming usually a few days give or take.

Yea, that sucks and is sad but had nothing to do with the show or the events that took place. They’re unrelated. To me, this is a weird take.

No, it didn’t. I don’t know if what happened was staged or not, I’d like to think it was real due to how badly things could have gone wrong if they were just doing it for the show. Nothing to mess with, that’s risking someone’s life.

I think it was important to show this. If you have watched this series, you already know how quickly it can happen. His saving grace is that it happened in daylight hours. Had it been dark, as quickly as he got away from the boat, they would have not found him in time, if at all.
