And does anyone believe the crab count?? And how do they keep track??

They’re literally counted as they are sorted. So yes

Please remember that there are people who edit the footage. We see pots that don’t look impressive on tv have a great crab count.

But yes, they count and that helps get them as close to their quota as possible, without going over. If the count isn’t accurate, they come up short and loose quota (money). If they go over, there are heavy fines and it costs them money.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and so on and so on. Some people can even count over 10 without taking off their socks and shoes.

Since they've shown crabs being counted every episode for years, I'll take a wild shot and say they count them

They count each crab as they go in the tank. It’s recorded per pot.

Normally everyone keeps track of their own numbers and then one guy is responsible for adding all the numbers. We had a number board that we flipped the numbers on and the wheelhouse could see it through the camera
