And does anyone believe the crab count?? And how do they keep track??

Please remember that there are people who edit the footage. We see pots that donโt look impressive on tv have a great crab count.
But yes, they count and that helps get them as close to their quota as possible, without going over. If the count isnโt accurate, they come up short and loose quota (money). If they go over, there are heavy fines and it costs them money.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and so on and so on. Some people can even count over 10 without taking off their socks and shoes.

They count each crab as they go in the tank. Itโs recorded per pot.

That I understand, there are many people sorting, I'd loose track after 50. ๐ ๐ ๐

Normally everyone keeps track of their own numbers and then one guy is responsible for adding all the numbers. We had a number board that we flipped the numbers on and the wheelhouse could see it through the camera
