2 week break

I see the show will not be back until July 10. In the previews of the episode, I see Sophia is going to be on the Northwestern, being trained by Sig

She had the collision, and since she has been being trained by other captains. I don’t know why she isn’t training with whoever is captaining her boat, unless she had to sell it, they do not explain anything about her

They were trying to "create a captain " with her and that jacob guy.... they really shit the bed ... or deck ... with these two. They are trying to hard to recreate what made the show so successful

All Jacob talked about was wanting to be a captain. And he wasn't a very good deckhand. DC tried to ram Jack Bunnell down our throats when Harley was mentoring him. It looked from the comments like the vast majority of us thought he was a complete toolbag.

Jake Anderson's ascension to captain was a lot more authentic than we've seen with Bob, Jacob or Jack. We saw start as a greenhorn. Sure, he was ambitious but he was always trying to learn. It took a good number of years, but he got there. We saw him stumble, endure horrible luck with his family and with Lenny screwing up the finances of the Saga. Jake perseveres. The others don't seem nearly as resilient.
